2008 Travels

The second of my golden years of travel, I was finally able to carry out my dream of visiting Egypt.  The plan was originally to spend the whole time in Egypt and possibly another European country to parallel my 2007 summer.  But after realizing how close I was to Jordan by ferry, and upon meeting my friends Niki and Petur who wanted to join me, a new type of spontaneous travel developed.  We carried on into Jordan and then into Israel.  After finding a cheap flight to Spain, Petur and I continued into Barcelona and Malaga, before we took a ferry into Morocco.  The highlight for me was visiting the Holy Land, but it made all the more memorable traveling with new friends I met while backpacking.
